TransUnion data breach by cyberattack, ZirohAlert

TransUnion, an international credit agency, stated that it had been the victim of a huge data breach that affected 54 million South Africans and exposed their personal information.
N4aughtysecTU has sent an extortion demand to TransUnion South Africa, requesting R223 million (approximately US $15 million) in cryptocurrencies in exchange for not exposing the stolen data.
The hackers have also threatened to use financial demands to gain access to TransUnion’s clients.
Consumer information was exposed, including phone numbers, email addresses, social security numbers, physical addresses, and a few credit ratings.
