The attackers also stole personal information belonging to Puma employees and their dependents from the Kronos Private Cloud (KPC) cloud environment before encrypting the data, according to the data breach notification issued with various attorney general’s offices earlier this month.
In August 2021, hackers obtained source code for an internal Puma application and sold it on the Marketo data leak portal. Robert-Jan Bartunek, the head of Puma’s corporate communications, confirmed the attack.
